An example of AI Tutor under Knowledge Base Mode

 

Overview:

This guide will show you how to construct your knowledge base on the XIPU AI platform (https://xipuai.xjtlu.edu.cn/v3/index) and link your knowledge bases to the XIPU AI Block on the Learning Mall Core module pages.

 

What to know:

A knowledge base for an AI system is a place where users upload files (such as PDFs, Word documents, or spreadsheets) so the AI can access and use them to provide more accurate answers. Instead of relying only on general knowledge, the AI retrieves relevant information from these files when responding to questions. The files are processed and stored in a way that allows the AI to quickly find the right information when needed. To ensure the best results, it's important to organize files clearly, use descriptive filenames, and keep content structured and up to date.

Step 1: Visit your Knowledge Base area on the XIPU AI Platform

 

Step 2:  Click the "Add knowledge base" button

Each staff can create up to 10 knowledge bases. 

 

 

Step 3:  Input the basic information

 

Step 4:   Manage the files in the KB
  • Click the three-dot action button
  • Select the second option "Manage"

 

Step 5:  Upload your files

Tips:

  • Each KB can only contain 100 files
  • Each file cannot exceed 100 MB
  • 7 types of files are accepted: pdf, csv, doc, ppt, xlsx, md, txt
  • Please kindly wait for training completed

 

Step 6:   Copy the Knowledge Base ID
  • Click the “copy” button to copy your knowledge base id

 

Step 7:   Link the Knowledge Base to the XIPU AI Chat Block

  • Select "Knowledge Base" Mode;
  • Paste your KB IDs and use commas to split if you have multiple ones;
  • Choose whether to display your source file link to the users.

The "Source of Truth" and "Completion Prompt" can work under the Knowledge Base Mode.
